China restricts Google keywords
Google access is back online in China, but don't worry, surfers are still being protected from the evils of politically sensitive information. New Scientist reports:
"If you enter one of these keywords, such as the Chinese president's name, you loose all IP connectivity for five minutes," Edleman told New Scientist. "I suspect they may have had this system in the wings all along."
What's most amusing is that the Chinese government is denying that a ban on Google access even existed in the first place. If this latest restriction sticks, they might actually have to explain themselves.
