BFG Tech makes retail graphics play

— 12:20 PM on September 17, 2002

VisionTek's demise left a rather gaping hole in the North American retail market, but it seems that a new company is rising from the ashes to reclaim some of that retail space. [H]ard|OCP has the scoop on BFG Technologies, who initially aim to produce standard NVIDIA boards based on reference designs, but whose future plans include producing products with enthusiasts and overclockers in mind.

As we saw with our GeForce4 Ti 4200 round-up, there's plenty of room for differentiation when it comes to retail graphics boards. Competition is great, and it'll certainly be interesting to see what BFG brings to the table.
