The NSA opens up.. a bit

I found this U.S. News article on the U.S. National Security Agency interesting. Amazingly, U.S. News got to interview some NSA officials for this story.

How America's massive eavesdropping organization will survive and thrive in the face of widely available strong encryption has been the subject of talk a number of places, but the people interviewed here talk about encryption as "a storm out to sea." Someday, widely available encrypted communcations will be a problem, but more immediate cultural and technological challenges seem to have the NSA on the ropes at present.
