Intel divulges Tejas details

As if Prescott weren't enough, Intel has also announced that Tejas, Prescott's successor, will debut sometime in 2004. According to EBN, Tejas will support DDR2, PCI-X, and a brand new audio standard called Azalia.

Tejas' DDR2 support suggests that Intel will stay with plain old DDR memory this year. Thus far, Samsung, Hynix, and Infineon DDR400 modules have all passed Intel's certification process for its upcoming Springdale chipset, though I'd expect modules from other manufacturers to be verified by the time Springdale launches.
