Poll time: Processor cooling

— 4:28 AM on March 11, 2003

If you haven't noticed already, there's a new poll up for your voting pleasure. However, before we get into the new poll, let's take a look at the results from the last one. When asked what the fastest PC processor is, 56% of voters chose Intel's Pentium 4 3.06GHz over AMD's Barton-core Athlon XP 3000+. The 800-lb gorilla took this one, folks.

This week, we're taking a look at what it takes to cool today's high-end processors:

What's cooling your PC processor(s)?
Do you have a silent passive cooling setup, a tricked-out water cooling unit, or are you chugging along with your processor's stock active heat sink and cooling fan? Go vote!
