New DirectX 9 demo released

— 12:44 PM on April 11, 2003

With the exception of 3DMark03 and a few graphics card-specific demos from ATI and NVIDIA, there's not much out there in terms of DirectX 9 eye candy for those lucky enough to be running an R3XX or GeForce FX-based graphics card. Don't worry; help is just a small download away. The folks over at HardOCP pointed me to this gorgeous DirectX 9 demo that shows off some incredible lighting effects. It may be a while before games or real world applications take advantage of the lighting techniques found in the demo, but that doesn't make the effects any less jaw-dropping.
