NV31, 35 yields still unimpressive

— 2:34 PM on June 20, 2003

Beyond3D has coverage of NVIDIA's latest conference call that reveals a few interesting details on current and future graphics chips. Apparently, NV31 and NV35 yields are still poorer than expected, which has limited the supply of chips available to graphics card manufacturers. More interesting, however, is the fact that a new graphics chip has taped out and will be released later in the year. The new graphics chip is being handled by IBM, who may have better luck with yields.
