Prescott performance previewed

TR reader Juan Ignacio Galardi sent in a link to this preview of Intel's upcoming Prescott processor. The preview isn't in English and only uses a Prescott chip at 2.8GHz, but the graphs provide some clues on what we can expect from Intel's next chip. The fact that Prescott is outperformed by a current-generation Pentium 4 at 2.8GHz in a handful of tests suggests that Intel may have deepened the instruction pipeline for Prescott. But before you get too worried, note that the Prescott 2.8GHz is as fast or nearly as a Pentium 4 3.2GHz in a couple of tests.
