Boomslang mouse resurrected

Those of you who remember the Razer Boomslang gaming mouse with fondness will be pleased to learn that BFG Tech has just announced its Sniper Boomslang 2100. Some folks still swear by the original Boomslang models (see our review), and the 2100 looks to be a virtual clone of the old top-of-the-line Razer. Like its predecessors, the Boomslang 2100 has a very high resolution sensor (2100 dpi in this case) with a roller ball mech. I'm intrigued to see how this thing fares now that optical mice like Logitech's excellent MX series have gotten to be so good. At $80, the Boomslang ain't cheap, either.

Now that the Boomslang is back, I'm a little disappointed that the Razer Mamba design (scroll down past the Gary Coleman pics) hasn't surfaced, as well. Then again, my MX500 has a similar shape.
