Abit does the Athlon

— 12:31 AM on March 17, 2000

At long last, Abit is about to deliver a motherboard for the Athlon. Based on the VIA KX133 chipset, this puppy will use Abit's SoftMenu to allow for some overclocking action. Info about the board has trickled out over the past 24 hours or so, as SharkyExtreme (where it's not just Sharky, it's too damn much Sharky) published a report from Taipei, the Overclocker's Workbench chipped in with some possible specs, and the AMD Zone reported that there are two boards coming, not just one. From what I've gathered by reading these links, I'm guessing that the second board just might—maybe, perhaps, possibly—incorporate a Golden Fingers device. Maybe.
