MS, Disney form copy protection alliance

Err, excuse me. It's a digital rights management alliance, which is, you know, not exactly copy protection. Right?

Whatever the case, these two mega-corporations have struck a deal to work together on content delivery tech. (Thanks MJS.) Details aren't exactly popping out of the two companies, but it seems Disney has licensed Windows Media and will support Microsoft's media player ambitions, including an upcoming portable media player. Microsoft cut a similar deal with Time Warner last year, and appears to be enlisting Hollywood's entertainment giants one by one to provide content for its media platforms.
