VIA PT890 pictures emerge

— 12:50 PM on February 11, 2004

The HardOCP has scored pictures of a PT890 reference board that supports AGP and PCI Express graphics. The board features an AGP 8X slot in addition to PCI Express X16 and X4 slots, and motherboard manufacturers will apparently be free to mix and match AGP and PCI Express as they see fit. HardOCP's sources also claim that while Intel's upcoming Alderwood and Grantsdale chipsets may support AGP and PCI Express, board vendors won't be allowed to include both.
