I'm not sure what to make of this report at the Inquirer about NVIDIA's next-gen graphics part. The report claims NV40 will have a sixteen-pipeline config with one texture unit per pipe and be composed of about 205-210 million transistors. The Inq is right more often than wrong, but this one seems a little iffy. Then again, the Inq says "US sources close to NVIDIA have confirmed" the pipeline number.
We tried asking, but NVIDIA's got no comment. Time will tell.
