TR regular Thresher was the first to tip me off that Apple has updated its iBook and PowerBook laptops. Apple's swanky G5 processor doesn't make this round of updates, but the G4 is now available at speeds of up to 1.5GHz. The notebook update also spreads 802.11g Wi-Fi across the entire iBook and PowerBook lines, and adds a Mobility Radeon 9700 option to the 15" and 17" PowerBooks.
In related news, Apple also announced a full suite of video editing tools, including new special effects software and a version of Final Cut Pro that supports HDTV. Apple also announced that it will offer enterprise media management software in the fall.
