Hitachi puts liquid cooler in a cube

— 5:00 AM on June 1, 2004

TR regular Perezoso spotted a nifty Hitachi water cooling unit over at The Inquirer. The diminutive cooler can apparently squeeze into one of Shuttle's small form factor cubes and dissipate up to 150W, making it suitable for toasty Prescott CPUs. Hitachi's liquid cooling system is apparently quiet, too. The company claims the cooler generates less than 34 decibels dissipating a 150W processor under load, and less than 24 decibels at idle. As if that weren't enough, the system can apparently go for five years with no maintenance. Check it out.
