915 chipset recall confirmed

— 10:17 AM on June 25, 2004

The Inq has official confirmation that Intel will be recalling a number of motherboards based on the new 915 chipset due to a problem with some of the ICH6 south bridge chips—"a few thousand" motherboards, according to the Inq and Intel. As we noted earlier, this is a chip fabrication problem, not a design problem. Check out our review of the 915 and 925X chipsets to see learn more about 'em.
