Iwill, Tyan announce Nocona boards

— 11:49 AM on June 29, 2004

Iwill and Tyan have both announced dual Xeon workstation platforms that support Intel's latest Nocona-core processors and PCI Express. Iwill is serving up two boards, a high-end DN800 and a more affordable DJ800. Both have PCI-E X16 and X4 slots in addition to PCI-X support. Tyan's first Nocona offering is the Thunder i7525, which is equipped with a PCI-E X16 graphics and loads of PCI-X. Unfortunately, neither company's initial Nocona offerings feature dual PCI-E graphics slots to take advantage of NVIDIA's SLI revival.
