Asus brings 915 chipset to Socket 478

Want to get in on Intel's new 915P chipset without moving to LGA775? Akiba PC Hotline has a board for you. Asus' P4GD1 combines the 915P chipset, complete with the new ICH6 south bridge, with a 478-pin socket compatible with older Pentium 4 and Celeron processors. The board doesn't skimp on next-gen features either; it comes with 1 PCI-E x16 slot, three PCI-E x1 slots, and four Serial ATA ports. Not a bad upgrade option for those looking to get in on PCI Express without having to spring for a Prescott-derived space heater.
