AMD readies strained silicon for 130-nano chips

— 1:02 PM on August 20, 2004

C|Net is reporting that AMD is sneaking strained silicon into not only its recently shipped 90-nanometer mobile parts, but also some 130-nanometer processors. According to C|Net, strained silicon tech will be added to 130-nanometer chips that will be released this quarter. Unfortunately, there's no word on which chips will receive the strained silicon treatment.
