Intel preps dual-core demo for IDF

— 3:18 AM on September 2, 2004

Because it can't let AMD steal all the dual-core headlines, Intel will reportedly demo a dual-core processor at next week's Intel Developer Forum. No one knows which dual-core CPU Intel will show off, though. The company already has already discussed plans for dual-core Xeon and Itanium chips, so they're certainly candidates. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a dual-core Prescott or Pentium M demo, either.
