Abit intros Radeon X700 cards

— 11:11 AM on September 23, 2004

The folks at Abit have already jumped on the Radeon X700 bandwagon by introducing a family of three cards based on ATI's new mid-range graphics chip. The RX700 series has a custom cooler and 100% Japanese capacitors. The two X700 Pro models, one with 128MB and the other with 256MB of RAM, are available now, and Abit says the XT flavor will be available in October. Unfortunately, all of the cards are PCI Express only right now, but perhaps we'll have some news soon that will mitigate concern over the lack of an AGP version. Stay tuned.
