Valve bans more Steam scammers

— 9:30 AM on December 23, 2004

Valve has banned an additional 30,000 Steam accounts for trying to gain access to games that hadn't been purchased. This is the second mass banning for Valve; last month the company canned 20,000 accounts for credit card fraud, account theft, and using cracked versions of Valve games. In the past, Valve has also penalized cheaters with temporary bans lasting 24 hours.
