Beyond3D has whipped up a review of Sapphire’s Radeon X800 256MB PCI Express graphics card. The card is based on a 12-pipe version of ATI’s new 0.11-micron R430 graphics chip, which also features a beefy 256-bit memory bus. The card fares well against the defunct Radeon X700 XT, but loses quite a bit of ground to the Radeon X800 XL. Unfortunately, the X800’s performance isn’t compared to NVIDIA’s GeForce 6600 GT, which should sell for roughly the same price.
