Abit intros Fatal1ty AN8 mobo

— 11:12 AM on February 1, 2005

We said in our review of the Fatal1ty-AA8XE that we'd like to see an Athlon 64 board with similar overclocking facilities. Now, Abit has officially pulled the wraps off of the Fatal1ty AN8, based on the nForce4 Ultra chipset for the Athlon 64. The AN8 includes Abit's crazy OTES cooling exhaust system, a big MOSFET cooler, and an audio riser card intended to reduce noise and interference. It's also named after a local kid who plays some Quake. The AN8 should definitely be a better gamers' board than the AA8XE. We'll make off with a review unit as soon as possible.
