VIA has announced the K8N800A chipset for AMD's upcoming Turion 64 processor for thin and light notebooks.

Taipei, Taiwan, 25 February 2005 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced the VIA K8N800A, a high-performance, low-power IGP chipset optimized for the upcoming AMD Turion™ 64 mobile technology, as well as the complete range of Mobile AMD Athlon™ 64 and Mobile AMD Sempron™ processors.
The chipset is apparently available now, but since it supports AMD's full line of mobile processors, that doesn't necessarily hint that Turion is just around the corner.
