Loophole grants Allofmp3 legal reprieve

— 2:45 AM on March 8, 2005

It looks like a legal loophole may keep Russian MP3 site Allofmp3.com free from prosecution. The site apparently can't be put on trial because it doesn't physically distribute copyrighted material. Unseemly loopholes aside, Allofmp3 deserves credit for supplying content in formats that users want, specifically, any format you can think of. DRM-free tracks are available in MP3, WMA, OGG, and AAC formats at a variety of bit rates, or in one of several lossless formats for those who don't mind a larger download.
