Beyond3D investigates NVIDIA's SLI tech

— 11:55 AM on March 10, 2005

Dave at Beyond3D has produced an epic, 33-page article about NVIDIA's SLI technology. Warning: Reading it in one sitting may give you a rash. He covers everything from the history of dual-GPU rendering solutions to what happens when you run an SLI rig without the card-to-card connector in place. It's a lot of info to slog through, but some of it can be rather interesting, including the benchmark results with NVIDIA's new 71.84 drivers, which include extensive new optimizations for SLI performance. (Our articles about SLI are here and here, by the way.)
