VIA has formally announced the EPIA DP-310, its first dual-processor Mini-ITX platform. In addition to a pair of 1GHz Eden-N NanoBGA processors, the EPIA DP packs a VIA CN400 north bridge, VT8237R south bridge, Gigabit Ethernet, and six-channel audio into the 17cm x 17cm Mini-ITX form factor. The EPIA DP lacks an AGP slot, but with both standard and mini PCI slots, two DIMM slots, and both IDE and Serial ATA ports, the board is nonetheless intriguing.
