Adobe to buy Macromedia

Two giants of multimedia software will soon be one, as Adobe plans to purchase Macromedia for a cool $3.4 billion. The account includes all the details you'd expect, including several virtually indecipherable executive quotations, like this one:

"The formats and standards governing communications methodologies are rapidly changing, and the creators of this information are challenged with how they cost-effectively create, deliver and manage that information," Chizen said.
Uh, yeah. So it's time to buy another company.

Anyhow, Photoshop and Director will soon come from the same entity.
