Nintendo intros Revolution console

— 4:23 PM on May 17, 2005

The third, er, shoe dropped at E3 today as Nintendo announced its next-gen console, dubbed Revolution. There are stories about Revolution at USA Today and CNN, but they are short on details. I'd expect some write-ups with more complete info to be online shortly. We do know that, like the other two next-gen consoles, the Revolution will have an IBM processor and wireless controllers. Also, as with the GameCube, the graphics chip will be supplied by ATI. Nintendo says Revolution should hit store shelves some time in 2006.
