Nintendo adds Micro to Game Boy stable

In addition to releasing details on its upcoming Revolution console, Nintendo has also revealed a tiny new addition to the Game Boy family. Measuring just four inches wide, two inches tall, and 0.7 inches thick, the 2.8 ounce Game Boy Micro is designed to fit comfortably into the pocket of your "tightest jeans." The Micro has a two-inch screen with adjustable brightness, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and enough horsepower to play games designed for the Game Boy Advance SP. Oh, and the Micro will apparently make you look cool, too.

"We're making the gorgeous Game Boy Micro for image-conscious folks who love video games, the ones who want the look of their system to be as cool as the games they play on it," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Because of its diminutive size and industrial-hip look, Game Boy Micro immediately identifies the person playing it as a trendsetter with discriminating style."
If only they were targeting the retro set with a version styled after the Game Boy Advance SP Classic NES.
