Alviso comes to Mini-ITX

— 11:37 AM on May 20, 2005

A Pentium M-based Mini-ITX platform has popped up on Akiba. Manfactured by Commell, the LV-673 uses Intel's "Alviso" 915GM Pentium M chipset and sports a PCI Express x16 slot, 7.1-channel audio output, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and a couple of Serial ATA ports. Commell's products tend to be targeted at industrial applications, and at close to $500, the LV-673 is far from cheap. Still, with a 479-pin Pentium M socket, and audio and PCI-E on-board, the board could be the most alluring Mini-ITX platform yet.
