eMachines offers cheap Media Center Edition PC

— 10:18 AM on June 23, 2005

eMachines is entering the media PC business with a T6520 system running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. The system has an Athlon 64 3400+, Radeon Xpress 200 chipset, 200GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, dual-layer DVD burner, and costs only $599—less than most Media Center Edition PCs. There's no word on which tuner card the T6520 uses or when it will be available, though.
