ATI posts loss, lowers expectations

— 12:52 PM on June 23, 2005

ATI has posted its third quarter financial results. Although revenues were up 8% from the same quarter last year, the company suffered a $400,000 loss for the quarter. Lower than anticipated yields apparently had an impact on gross margins, as did operational issues with chip manufacturing. ATI's fourth quarter outlook doesn't bode well for R520, either. Revenue expectations have been lowered due to a "more conservative expectation on the ramp of new products in the fourth quarter."
