Striking back at a spammer—in a big way

— 1:45 AM on June 7, 2000

Astute TR reader Sam sent in this link to a web site that tells the story of a spamming outfit who crossed the wrong guy. In a brutal counterstrike, the guy hacked into all of their computers, turned over info on stolen AOL accounts to AOL security, helped enlighten the SEC about their "pump and dump" stock schemes, and, well... there's more, but you'd best see for yourself. Justice can be brutal. (And in this case, maybe a bit poor in taste. You're warned.)
