Hacking for the government

— 12:00 AM on August 12, 2005

A story on CNN.com details how government agencies are attending Defcon to recruit hackers. The government types are making no real attempt to blend in; at least that's what I'm taking from the fact that there's a "Meet the Feds" panel.

An interesting side note is the fact that many government personnel in the computer security arena apparently attend Defcon to keep their skills up to date, as evidenced by a comment from someone who spoke at the Pentagon and recognized one-third of his audience there from Defcon.
