AMD brings Mobile Athlon 64 up to 4000+

AMD has added an Athlon 64 4000+ to its mobile processor lineup. Like the Athlon 64 4000+, the mobile 4000+ runs at 2.6GHz and has 1MB of L2 cache. Don't expect identical performance, though. Mobile Athlon 64 processors come in a 754-pin package that can only address a single memory channel. Don't expect the 4000+ to show up in a thin and light, either. The chip is targeted at "full size" notebooks and apparently has a TDP of 62W—more than twice that of Intel's fastest Pentium M.
