Dan discourses on digital SLRs

— 11:30 AM on September 14, 2005

Over at Dan's Data, the man himself is giving lessons on digital SLR cameras. This is ostensibly a review of the Canon EOS-20D, but he acknowledges that many others have already reviewed this particular camera. So, he says, "I decided to cover all of the stuff that regular camera reviewers assume you already know. Including all of the reasons why a digital SLR might be absolutely the wrong camera for you, no matter how rich you are." Dan covers the 20D's strengths and weaknesses, talks much about photography generally, and then winds up with a look at alternatives to an expensive digital SLR camera, including the fixed-lens "prosumer" models.
