Movie studios form anti-piracy technology group

Six Hollywood movie studios have banded together to form Motion Picture Laboratories, a research group tasked with thwarting movie pirates. Hollywood studios are apparently unimpressed with the industry's copyright protection efforts, and will be giving Motion Picture Labs $30 million over two years to develop technology to jam in-theater camcorders, block illegal P2P traffic, and detect illegal content sharing.
