Newegg announces CrossFire, X1800 availability

The folks at Newegg have come through in a big way for ATI by making the company's latest high-end products available for purchase. From the press release:

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Newegg.com is pleased to announce the immediate availability of ATI Technologies' X1800XL Radeon and X850 Crossfire video cards. The X850 CrossFire card can be paired with any PCI Express Radeon X850 graphics card for multi-GPU rendering on all applications.
There's more about both cards at Newegg's promotions page dedicated to the new ATI products. Unfortunately, pricing on the Radeon X850 XT CrossFire Edition is currently $449.00, or fully $100 over ATI's promised list price and $50 over the ATI.com store. The Radeon X1800 XL is priced at $479, or $30 more than ATI's projected list for that product, and right in line with some GeForce 7800 GTX prices. Remember, we found that the XL is more of a competitor for the less-expensive GeForce 7800 GT, performance-wise. Here's hoping that the initial price premiums will wear off once the products are more widely availabile.

Both the Radeon X1800 XL and the X850 XT CrossFire Edition boards are listed as in stock. DFI's CrossFire motherboard is also mentioned on the promo page, but I don't see an individual listing for the product yet.
