StorageReview compares seven 2.5" notebook drives

— 12:00 AM on November 29, 2005

If you're in the market for a new notebook hard drive and curious about which models provide the best price-to-performance ratio, StorageReview has published an excellent comparison of multiple notebook drives. They cover a full range of performance tests (including server use, for the exceptionally masochistic), power consumption, and noise. Performance is also compared between the best of the notebook options and modern-day desktop hard drives. The only downside is that all the drives mentioned are ATA-based, but SR promises a similar look at SATA drives soon.
