Yonah benchmarked against dual-core desktops

— 3:34 AM on November 30, 2005

AnandTech has an interesting first look at the performance of Intel's upcoming Yonah processor. The chip's performance at 2.0GHz is compared to that of a Pentium D 830, and Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and 4200+. Results are mixed, but Yonah holds its own against the dual-core desktop chips. That's an impressive feat for a mobile CPU, especially considering the chip's extremely low power consumption under load.
