Sapphire shows HDMI-equipped Radeon X1600

— 2:23 AM on January 9, 2006

The Inquirer has the goods on a unique Sapphire Radeon X1600 on display at CES. The mid-range card features HDMI output that handles both audio and video, making it an ideal candidate for home theater PC users with fancy TVs. It also looks like a low-profile card, so it should work with a wider variety of enclosures. Pity it isn't passively-cooled, though.
