WidowPC hints at SLI laptop

— 1:45 AM on February 9, 2006

I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone put SLI in a laptop. WidowPC has confirmed that it is working on a gaming laptop with an AMD processor, a pair of GPUs in SLI, and a 19" display. Additional details are scarce, as the notebook is still in development.

In somewhat related news, HKEPC Hardware managed to track down the MXM SLI card that MSI had on display at CES. The Geminium Go, as it's now called, squeezes a pair of mobile MXM graphics modules into SLI on a single PCI Express x16 graphics card. Performance looks good, too; equipped with a pair of GeForce Go 6600 MXM modules, the Geminium Go outperforms a pair of GeForce 6600 graphics cards in SLI.
