Abit, MSI plan for CeBit

— 12:00 PM on February 27, 2006

Abit let us know that it plans to have pro-gamer celebrity Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel attend its exhibition at this year's CeBit, which is taking place in Hannover, Germany on March 9-15. The company will apparently be staging gaming seminars hosted by Team Dignitas, gaming workshops, and even shoot-outs with Fatal1ty himself where some lucky contestants will be awarded prizes. Not much word about new products, although the company's marketing manager mentioned new motherboards, "a few old favorites", and "one or two surprises."

DigiTimes is also reporting on some of MSI's planned product showcases. These apparently include the Living Room PC, a small home theater PC said to ship with an AMD processor and Windows Media Center Edition. The company should also introduce its first notebook based on Intel's Centrino Duo dual-core platform with a carbon fiber cover and a 12" widescreen display. Last, but not least, MSI will be showing its new K8N Diamond Plus motherboard, which has actually been shipping for some time already.
