AMD-Skype subpoena detailed

— 10:15 AM on March 2, 2006

The Inquirer has obtained a copy of AMD's recently announced subpoena, which was issued to Skype after it announced that some features of its new software would be Intel-only. The subpoena requests a variety of documents, including anything related to any "financial inducement" offered by Intel to Skype, as well as all documents regarding the capability of Skype's software to host 10-person conference calls with non-Intel processors, including any performance testing conducted by Skype regarding the matter. I think this promises some interesting developments in the future.
