Gigabyte Socket AM2 board revealed

— 10:46 AM on March 3, 2006

TweakTown has some early pictures of Gigabyte's upcoming Socket AM2 offering. The prototype board, dubbed GA-K8NDSLI Pro-RM, follows the trend of offering six SATA ports and only one parallel ATA port witnessed on other Socket AM2 prototypes. One can also see two BIOS chips between the PCI-E x16 slots, hinting that Gigabyte will continue to provide its Dual BIOS technology on upcoming Socket AM2 offerings. Gigabyte should be showing this prototype at CeBit next week, although TweakTown says the company will be making a number of changes before the board hits the market later this year.
