Abit launches AT8 32X CrossFire board

— 4:02 PM on March 3, 2006

Abit has unveiled an AT8 32X motherboard based on ATI's new CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset. The board uses ULi's M1575 south bridge, which Abit picked over ATI's SB450, much like ASUS did with the A8R32-MVP Deluxe we reviewed yesterday. According to the spec sheet, the AT8 32X supports up to 8GB of memory, and comes with 7.1-channel high definition Dolby Digital Live audio, Gigabit Ethernet, six 300MB/s Serial ATA ports, and two 400MB/s FireWire ports. Abit also includes its ĀµGuru software, and a Silent OTES cooler that passively cools the north bridge and CPU power regulation circuitry.
