Dell begins sale of 2007WFP, 2007FP

— 3:21 PM on April 3, 2006

Dell's UltraSharp 2007WFP 20.1" monitor has finally been made available for sale, following an early appearance on the company's support site last month. The 2007WFP will succeed the popular 2005FPW, offering an improved 800:1 contrast ratio as well as a redesigned stand and a sleeker look. The 2007WFP retains the 2005FPW's 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio, 16ms response time, 1680x1050 resolution, and 300cd/m² luminosity, however, as well as its $529.00 price point. It looks like Dell is also ditching the 2001FP, as a 2007FP is now available. This 4:3, 1600x1200 offering has the same specifications as the 2007WFP, which should be a nice improvement over the old 2001FP's 250cd/m² luminosity and 400:1 contrast ratio. Both the 2007FP and 2007WFP appear to be in stock, with Dell claiming delivery within five to seven days. Thanks to Engadget for the tip.
