Bird in the slot

— 12:18 AM on July 17, 2000

The guys at Trainwrecker have put together a useful report on using the Athlon T-bird on an Abit KA7 mobo. They've covered all the bases, even benchmarking the setup against a Pentium III rig. Of most interest, of course, is stability and overclocking. On that front, they had mixed results, only getting 800MHz out of a T-bird 700. However, they report excellent stability overall. Not a bad mix.

Be sure to scroll down on the last page of the article for the collection of Thunderbird pictures. Inspiring. :)
